First proper post of 2021, New year, New resolutions. You may not always manage to keep these resolutions but having a plan or a goal is important. Adopting a new healthy habit or starting something new can really change your life and mindset. Pick whichever ones resonate with you and go for them !

New Year Resolutions:

  • Drink a bottle of water per day
  • Stop buying new clothes/fast fashion
  • Quit drinking coffee, alcohol or smoking
  • Read one book a week
  • Walk 5000 steps a day
  • Do 10 minutes of exercise a day (this can also be meditation)
  • Go vegan/vegetarian
  • Eliminate palm oil from your diet
  • Start walking/cycling to school and work
  • Start a new activity, join a club or really invest in your hobby
  • Learn to cook (this one is sooo important)
  • Do community service
  • Complete a checklist/bucketlist of things to things to do
  • Write a journal
  • Limit your social media/phone time
  • Save all your 5 euro bills (use the currency you use in your country obviously)
  • Start doing a games night with friends or family
  • Talk to a relative once a week/month (they love this it can really make someone’s day
  • Start a project you have been procrastinating
  • Stop biting your nails or straightening your hair
  • Say one kind thing to someone you don’t often speak to everyday
  • Invest in some plants (and try not to kill them !)
  • Go to bed before 11 pm five times a week
  • Set up a skin care routine that works for you
  • Enter a race or competition
  • Tidy your room before bed every day ( if you have a mental illness that makes this difficult then maybe pick a date every month to try and do this, get your friends to help. Only if this is something you wish to try of course <3)
  • Schedule a daily 5 minute dance party
  • Learn to paint, draw or use an instrument
  • Learn to play chess or poker
  • Start a blog or twitch/youtube channel
  • Start going to therapy (you do not need to be struggling to go to therapy)
  • Discover a new music genre or artist
  • Try a new type of cuisine or food
  • Have breakfast everyday
  • Drink Herbal tea before bed
  • Limit your coffee intake (only having one cup makes such a big difference)
  • Make new friends, hi 🙂
  • Start a manifestation journal
  • listen to the news for 30 minutes a day
  • Smile more
  • Learn a new language
  • Use less plastic and reduce your carbon footprint
  • Get your license
  • Watch more documentaries
  • Discover a new blogger or youtuber
  • Adopt (a) new aesthetic(s)
  • Make more time for yourself

I hope this helps any of you who didn’t have any ideas or just wanted set yourself some more realistic goals 🙂
